Wild Turkeys

Found in wooded areas, brushy grasslands and river bottoms, wild turkeys are one of our largest wild birds, ranging in size from 10 to 25 pounds, producing about a dozen eggs mid spring. They eat plants, grains, insects, small reptiles and amphibians. They gather and roost in trees.
