Hello Jeff, and thanks for the feedback… we, too, have the utmost respect for Al Lindner, his brother, Ron Lindner, and the group of people surrounding them who influenced fishing for the better. It’s also good to hear that you like MidWest Outdoors TV and magazine, and the new podcast. We’re setting up to serve you even more, and better, and in additional ways, in 2015 and beyond. Please stay in contact, and good luck out there on the water!
This was a terrific interview. Thanks for bringing out some of those great stories. I’m sure you have thousands of customers like me who would listen to Mr. Lindner’s tales for days on end.
Thank you, Darrell! Like you, we could listen to Al Lindner recount his life in fishing, and talk about his vision of the future, for days on end… and thanks for writing in!
Wow, what an interview! I grew up reading Fishing Facts magazine and following Buck Perry. I wondered where they went when they left F F magazine. Then on a news stand I was looking thru this magazine I’d never seen before and discovered Al and brother Ron again teaching me how to fish AGAIN! Al is the real deal! I met him at the Chicago sports show many years ago in front of Ed Shirley’s booth and I can’t say enough about how Al is the same in person as he is on TV! Al has been my favorite fishing instuctor since I was a kid first learning thru the “Lunkers Love Night Crawlers ” book! Then with Buck Perry’s ” Green Book”. Its no wonder Al is so successful ! Thru God and Al’s infectious enthusiasm, you can’ help but learn from his knowledge and willingness to teach us how to be better fisherman! Thanks Al! Sincerely , Russ Jozwiak.
Hello Russ, and thank you for heartfelt comments regarding Al and Ron Lindner. We feel the same way as you, that they are two of the most important figures in the modern fishing revolution. We were honored that Al made time for our interview, and glad that you enjoyed it. It’s also fun to listen to him talk on the podcast; his voice is one of a kind, and worth savoring.
