35th Annual Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza, from 12 to 3 p.m., on Gull Lake near Brainerd, Minnesota. As the world’s largest charitable ice fishing contest, this landmark event has been making waves—and ice—for 35 years, raising funds for local charities and empowering communities.
Since its inception in 1991, the Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza has grown into a globally recognized event that generates over $2 million in economic impact for the region annually and donates more than $150,000 to local charities each year. This year, we aim to make an even bigger impact in honor of our 35th anniversary, celebrating the thousands of anglers, volunteers, and supporters who make it all possible.
What to Expect:
• 10,000+ anglers competing for more than $200,000 in prizes, the largest prize package in ice fishing.
• A fun-filled afternoon of competition, camaraderie, and giving back, all set against the backdrop of Brainerd’s winter beauty.
The Brainerd Jaycees, a non-profit organization of members aged 18-40, are a leadership development organization dedicated to creating positive change through community development and charitable efforts. Proceeds from the Extravaganza and other events hosted by the Jaycees are donated directly back to local charities and organizations. Over $4.2 million has been raised since the contest’s inception, with the event entirely organized and executed by volunteers.
