Founded by former American president George W. Bush in 2002, the National Fishing and Boating Week — beginning on June 3 and ending on June 11 this year — brings together all fishing and boating enthusiasts to learn about new spots and destinations to plan their next trip.
You can celebrate National Fishing and Boating week in many different ways, all of which help support national and local waterways and fisheries. Here are some of our favorite ways to participate.
- Take a friend fishing
- Whether it is your lifelong fishing friend or someone completely new to fishing, getting out on the water and creating memories that will last a lifetime is what it’s all about!
- De-stress
- Boating is ranked as one of the top 3 stress relieving activities.
- Help the conservation
- Funds from your fishing licenses and boat registrations go towards the conservation.
- Learn how to fish
- You can find countless articles and videos to help you begin your fishing passion here on our website as well as our YouTube Channel.
