At the recent International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST) show—the world’s largest sportfishing trade show—manufacturers introduced new fishing tackle, electronics, boats, apparel, and accessories. One of the show’s highlights is the New Product Showcase, whose winners are described here.

Best in Show: The Overall Best in Show award went to the Rhino 30 6-foot, 6-inch, 2-piece Medium Spinning Combo from Rather Outdoors, after also winning the Best Rod & Reel Combo. Saltwater Reel: Daiwa’s 2026 BG SW spinning reels feature Powerdrive design including oversize digigear, rotor and crank power bail. Gasket-sealed waterproof frame. The new egg-shaped power knob increases leverage and offers an extremely comfortable grip.

Freshwater Rod: St. Croix Triumph’s Freshwater series delivers performance & quality at an appealing price. 29 models feature proven SCII carbon fiber blanks strengthened with FRS tech, modernized stainless-steel guides, all-new contoured natural cork handles, and a 5-year warranty.

Saltwater Soft Lure: Rapala’s CrushCity Imposter is a realistic prawn or shrimp imitation with a subtle action and added shrimp scent to attract fish. Rigged on a jighead, it hops, darts, or swims with nervous legs and appendages. Super TPE material is extremely durable.

Freshwater Hard Lure: American Baitworks’ Synch Fishing Artisan Wake & Crank 130 is a subsurface wake bait. Based on the popular Artisan Gill platform, the Wake & Crank features a three-piece body and added bill design, with premium components.
