The Ford Indianapolis Boat, Sport & Travel Show is coming once again February 17-26 to the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
Find adventure in over 700,000 square feet of pure outdoor excitement in six super-sized buildings. Acres of boats, RVs, fishing tackle and hunting gear, outdoor destinations, paddle sports equipment, educational seminars, outdoor celebrities and unique and entertaining attractions will combine to form an outdoor “supernova,” which cannot be fully experienced in a single visit.
An 180,000-square-foot building at the Show will be entirely devoted toward boating-lifestyle products and accessories. There is a list available of the manufacturers presenting during the week.
The “Ask the Pros Seminar Series” returns, providing a unique seminar format that involves attendees in an interactive forum with invaluable opportunities for asking the questions most important to them. Also, “Crappie Superstars: Ask the Pros,” courtesy of B’n’M Poles will be featured Saturday and Sunday, February 25-26 only. Attend the “Bottom Feeders Ask the Pros” on Saturday, Feb. 20 and Sunday, Feb. 26 for everything you want to know about carp and catfish from an expert panel. Fishing seminars will continue at the “Hawg Trough,” where you can learn the latest techniques from nationally known anglers at the 5,000-gallon aquarium. The Indiana Hunter Education Program is also coming back and will continue to promote “Safe Hunting” tips for visitors.
There’s fun for the entire family too with “The Alaskan Timbermen Lumberjack Show,” voted “a must-see” by The Travel Channel. These Alaskan lumberjacks battle it out in chopping, sawing, tree climbing, axe throwing, log rolling and much more. And, do you think you’ve got what it takes to be a lumberjack? Find out at the Axe Throw, where during the competition the Alaskan Timbermen will choose guests to compete in three rounds of supervised axe throwing to determine a winner!
The K-9 X Games (Shows) are here this year with the Alpha K-9 U Crew exhibiting K-9 obedience and the different dock-diving sports disciplines such as X-treme Retrieve, X-treme Vertical and the newest discipline, X-treme Air. Marty Koch’s Outdoor Adventures will also be at the Show. After guiding thousands of people on paddle trips throughout the Ozarks and the wilderness lakes, Marty has also gained a reputation as a great camp cook. The Kid’s Trout Fishing Pond is returning once again, and you can challenge yourself at the Peak Adventure Rock Wall. And don’t forget Kid’s Day on Saturday, February 25. The giveaway this year is the first 500 kids through the door will receive a cane pole kit.
The Travel Café is back with exciting travel destination presentations. Along with fresh travel ideas, presented by the exhibitors within the Travel & Tourism section of the show, there will be new and unique in-show dining options.
